Dasia Thornton
Professional basketball player and former NCAA Division III National Champion
Dasia Thornton is a professional basketball player who signed with the Albanian club Partizani Tirana for her rookie season. She is the first women's basketball player from Transylvania University to sign a professional contract. During her collegiate career, she was a decorated forward who played a key role in Transylvania's 2023 NCAA Division III National Championship victory and was a centerpiece of the team's historic 64-game winning streak.

Thornton graduated from Transylvania University where she majored in International Affairs with a minor in Spanish. She chose the university in part because its academic approach was similar to the Montessori curriculum she experienced at Clark Montessori High School in Cincinnati.
